Was lucky to have wrestled my ex girlfriend, what made it easier for me to bring up my love of wrestling was that she was a black belt in shotan karate and a bit of a tomboy so felt comfortable talking to her about it so I was very lucky, haven't wrestled a woman since and it's a very difficult situation to approach for me now but maybe one day eh.

I am a little confused that this hasn't been mentioned here but: have you thought about, ya know, approaching women who actually do martial arts?
I've had one girlfriend who was a collegiate boxer, I have trained very regularly with a girl who dies bjj and my best friend is in the German national Judo team (and currently unavailable because she has a chance to qualify for Paris '24).
The statistician in me suggests a linkage between women doing martial arts and women being into fighting :D although, obviously, this ist not a perfect correlation.
So if you're into wrestling, I am pretty sure it would help if you check out local Judo Dojos or BJJ Clubs. Or wrestling teams (although that's not that much of a thing where I am from). And it also helps of you're not being a creep on day 1 :D
@Emperor- That route could easily backfire. It may work with female friends of yours, if you know them well, but it would be inadvisable for other men who fetishise female wrestling and fighting to attend clubs or approach athletes on this basis.
Sports like judo and wrestling are ultra protective of women who train in their clubs. Anyone who approaches those women seeking a kink dispenser are likely to be in trouble. Many also don’t like their sport being disrespected - at least that’s the way they see it.
If you train with women on a pure sporting level with you both wanting to improve, then fair enough. A play partnership might develop outside the club. But if the coaches sense anything ulterior, then it’d be a negative experience.
I dealt with this itch by getting involved in my local kink scene. I played down my fetish for wrestling, but my new friends and acquaintances knew I was into it.
After being on the scene and trust developing in that people realised I was not a danger, it eventually got to the point where certain females approached me to discuss and experience wrestling. No deep emotional involvement, but boundaries respected and then came the fun.
Other than that, try dating apps (waste of money and time) or go the pay-for-play route.

Not quite the whole story though. The voice verified group or VV for short has been around for 25 + years. Women need to apply and leave a phone number. A female moderator will call to confirm and verify. The phone number never gets shared or posted anywhere. And that’s it. If you're specifically using MF to seek a woman fighter or gf you are not going to get far. Date and socialise in the traditional way and on the second or third meeting tell the person about your wrestling kink. They might one intrigued by it and want to give it a go, or repulsed. If the latter then at least you know you're not wasn't each other's time.
Women who have some competitive sports background are usually good for this, but you are not likely to find them here.

The other comment I might make is that she lost a significant amount of weight after she got hurt playing football. You have to create your own luck. To the Original Poster: get acquainted with the kink community in your area. Attend the “munches” (which are basically non-kink social gatherings), create a profile on Fetlife and then someone, or a group of people, may express an interest, or have a similar wrestling kink to yours.

At the same time, don’t restrict your interests to wrestling while there. Add variety related to female strength and supremacy, or male domination if you go that way.
Kinky women tend to be more enthusiastic about trying something new like struggle play, scissoring, facesit domination or good old fashioned wrestling.

Another obstacle is that while there are women out there that would be curious enough and like the idea of wrestling, the odds that they will be willing to wrestle a man that they do not already know/have some sort of relationship with are pretty low. I keep trying, but I don’t go into it with the expectations that a match is going to happen from it. One of these days, I hope to be surprised. Until then, I’ll keep going back to session girls.

Many concussions, kids back to back and many other health issues later, she just started a new program to get back in shape. She just doesnt want to do anything that can get her injured (because of the kids). Shes an amazing mom and its her priority, most people understood her choice. My wife got fed up with men who said they had a female, wife, friend, sister or whatever to wrestle with.
In reality they didn't and when push came to shove they either cried off with illness, car trouble or my dog died. Or they had the brass neck to arrive and make an excuse for her not coming from any of the above plus more. They then expected her to wrestle them on one of the two occasions we had this happen before we wised up. That was despite us making it clear that all fights where to be MM or FF no mixed.
Because of that we pretty well gave up but where lucky to meet a few genuine ladies and couples.

Local kinksters, particularly women, like to get to know a person before playing. They also tend not to lead the conversation “kink first”.
I’m finding that couples are getting more curious about wrestling with a view to mixed tag matches or watching their guys get to grips. That didn’t happen by me posting ads or making direct approaches, it was other kinksters locally who raised the matter.
Now it’s a matter of logistics and staying in touch with the couples.

Right, @wrestlefic2 - people (women in this case) have a voice. For another potential female opponent to agree to a match as opposed to email ping pong (which is the problem with men posing as females, like the guy who blocked me here) they have to verify.
It used to be done by phone but more often now by video link.

Not quite the whole story though. The voice verified group or VV for short has been around for 25 + years. Started by a few women to ( as you say) avoid the fakes and posers and to find other likeminded real women. The group was originally on yahoo and now has moved since yahoos demise. Women need to apply and leave a phone number. A female moderator will call to confirm and verify. The phone number never gets shared or posted anywhere. And that’s it. Not 100% foolproof but best place for real there is. It’s a very small group sadly. Not a lot of members. So word gets around if a poser or male sneaks in

If you're specifically using MF to seek a woman fighter or gf you are not going to get far. Date and socialise in the traditional way and on the second or third meeting tell the person about your wrestling kink. They might one intrigued by it and want to give it a go, or repulsed. If the latter then at least you know you're not wasn't each other's time.
Women who have some competitive sports background are usually good for this, but you are not likely to find them here.

Thank you celtwrestle. I am definitively aware of the lack women fighters here, but if there are any here that might be interested, they’d never know unless I put it out there. Also let the record show that I am not looking for a girlfriend or any sort of sexual encounter. I enjoy wrestling with females and wrestling is all that I’m looking for here. As to your advice about dating my way to a wrestling partner, that is a good plan for some, but not for me under my particular set of circumstances. I appreciate the heads up, but I knew coming in that it was a longshot that I’d be able to find a match here as it is most everywhere else as well. MF is a great place for many to find the type of matches that they enjoy, and even though it’s not currently great for finding mixed wrestling partners, it certainly could be.

The world is much smaller than one realizes sometimes. I have wrestled Julie twice. And yes, she was a fun opponent. But I'm surprised you thought you were going to get "extras". She has never made much of a secret about her religious faith. Which might be part of the reason she finally retired. She had an interesting interview up on the sessiongirls site but it has since been removed.
The other comment I might make is that she lost a significant amount of weight after she got hurt playing football. You would expect the opposite - you would gain weight after being hurt and not getting that exercise. I would guess when I saw her the 2nd time, she maybe had dropped 10 to 20 lbs from her football playing weight.

though personally, i have better luck just convincing my fem friends to give it a try.
being a woman certainly helps on that account, but it's really more about trust, good communication, and being willing to let them try at their own pace, and building their confidence.
having even a single fem friend who you've practiced with, and can vouch for you, is a huge leg up, regardless which route you go in finding someone.
if men want more women into these arena's, ya'll are gonna have to do the work of making them feel comfortable, and positive here. allot of them don't have any positive experiences with fighting. there's allot of work to be done in that respect before we'll see a change.

You hit the nail on the head. The approach of so many men coupled with this being a male centered kink there aren’t many women eager to jump on the mats. Not someone you pay to pretend to like it or a gf/wife who does it just for you, I mean one who honestly truly likes it like how we do. It seems like a hopeless search. Of the very tiny amount of women on here, most seem to be just interested in wrestling other women. I mean, it doesn’t have to be competitive, it can just be some fun play fighting. You have to create your own luck. To the Original Poster: get acquainted with the kink community in your area. Attend the “munches” (which are basically non-kink social gatherings), create a profile on Fetlife and then someone, or a group of people, may express an interest, or have a similar wrestling kink to yours.
Other than that, session wrestlers would be the go to.
