I found this vintage French match and was intrigued by La Bete Humaine (The Human Beast). There were certainly masked wrestlers back at this time, but I don't ever recall seeing such an elaborate character (with his loose, animal skin-like singlet and beastly mask). Jacky Montalier put up a good fight, but the Beast proved too much for him to tame. Any other similarly unique wrestlers that you have seen back during this vintage era?
love the character, especially in vintage black and white (which adds to the excitement IMO). i will admit that a match where an interesting 'character' is up against a 'good guy'!
