Odd as it may sound,Greek heels are almost non-existent.Wrestling scene is highly scant for that matter..

The Greeks did not "give us wrestling." The sport goes way back before the Olympics and was universally practiced in all civilizations.

Who takes credit? The Bible recounts Jacob wrestling the angel. Jacob was then re-named Israel, meaning, "he who wrestles with God." That was perhaps 3500 years ago. Note that Israel is the only country with "wrestle" as part of its name.

Other than that, Egyptian inscriptions in pharoah tombs (pyramids) do show wrestlers. Don't know what Hindu, Babylonian or Chinese documents or art might reveal, but I am confident wrestling went on in those societies. It was a truly civilized sport: men fought to show dominance but did not have to die in the process. Leave that for war and football.

They found symbols of men and women wrestling in Egypt also.
