It is very important to be safe here. Just seeing it on WWE and other professional wrestling is not the way to learn as it is simulated there and enhanced with jerking the guy from side to side and other movements to enhance the view. Learn the proper techniques from someone who knows it and use it under supervision until u know it well. Know especially how important it is to release the hold once he goes limp.
You know, when it comes to strangulation and choking, I always go slow with it. I have taught so many guys how to strangle and what it was like to be strangled.. Usually I like to just kick back explain things go slowly and sell them exactly how to use a carotid, choke, where to place the hands and usually choke them out first and then let them choke me out with handover hand at first and then they can just go for it after that.
I would show them how it's done safely before a fight - how to hold properly and when to let go + a few signs that indicates someone is out.
Then yes.
Everyone was a beginner in everything at a certain point, so the answer can only be yes or the cult of choking out will die with the last practicer 😅✌️
