And then he has a long scene in his locker room where is just in trunks, his face a little battered from the fight... it's great.

Tony lifts up his shirt and *invites* Bobby to punch him in the stomach, saying he can take it. Bobby does, and it makes Tony go down. The idea of the scene is better than the execution. You don't actually see the punch land.
This is a clip from a longer fight scene from a 1960s French sword and sandal film. The black bodybuilder is Serge Nubret and he gets beat up bad in this scene. Totally hot.

If anyone has Netflix, the series "The Umbrella Academy" episode 9 has a scene where Vanya and her boyfriend Leonard come out a restaurant and three guys are drinking around his car and they end up working over Leonard 2 on 1 with some gut punches. I have not looked for a clip on YouTube but watched the episode last night a few times.

In the first episode entitled “Skin Deep”, Peter got jumped and pulled into an alley by two hired thugs who were going to convince him to back off a case. He tried to fight back, briefly breaking free from the holder, but was quickly subdued and held from behind while the second thug gave him five punches to the belly, then finished him with an upper cut to his nose. Miraculously (and consistent with tv of this era) his nose wasn’t broken and there was no blood. Interestingly, whoever posted the video segment online, edited out the first four belly punches. Hummm!
I just recalled a movie scene from Roadhouse where Patrick Swayze is out on back loading dock dealing with four thugs. He ends up being held against a support post by two guys while a third pounds his midsection with at least ten or twelve punches until a buddy intervenes and turns the tables. Also, the Humphrey Bogart movie The Big Sleep, where his private eye character is sucker punched and then dragged into an alley by two thugs. He takes three in the belly, and a final kick in the gut to emphasize their message to back off a case. Loves those scenes!

Its the scene where the "hero" is in stocks for having been found out to be a fake and was punched whilst being restrained by the stocks a few good times in the gut that brought him down to his knees. Excellent.

In the '80s, I think it was, there was a series of cowboy TV movies with "Desperado" ("Desperado Goes to College" or whatever). The star is a guy named Alex McArthur (or MacArthur); it's not one of those Antonio Banderas things that came later. In the first one, the sheriff (Yaphet Kotto) ties up Desperado in a jail cell with his arms over his head and punches his gut a few times. Desperado still has his shirt on and you see him only from the back, but it's still hot, maybe because you have to use your imagination.
Jan-Michael Vincent worked over by 3 or 4 sailors under the boardwalk in "Going Home". Robert Mitchum gets it bad in "His Kind of Woman". Several episodes of BJ and the Bear, including the one where the motorcycle gang works his gut, and season 3, "BJ and the Seven Lady Truckers", hard to find. Several episodes of Magnum PI. Rock Hudson punched by James Dean in "Giant". Many many more.
A few other good movie scenes are from "The Dirty Dozen" where a young Charles Bronson takes it in the gut by 2 guys. Eddie Murphy is held and worked over w/gutpunches in "Beverly Hills Cop". Another good one is High Risk w/James Colburn. It has a hot scene where one guy is cuffed and punched in the stomach while his friend is forced to watch.
The Take w/Billy Dee Williams has a great, long gut workover scene where Billy Dee is held by 3 guys while a fourth gives his belly a brutal punching. The movie Run Like A Thief has a great scene too where the head guy tells his hired thugs to "work him over lightly". One of the thugs then says "I want a nice clean fight. No kidney punches. No rabbit punches. Just hit him in the belly." With that, the guy is held and punched in the stomach 15-16 times not only till he's unconscious but a couple of the punches appear to be while he is unconscious.
Some other good movies are The Betsy w/ a young Tommy Lee Jones getting his stomach worked over by 3 professionals. Patrick Swayze takes a good gut pounding in Road House. Millers Crossing has a very brutal gut punching scene!
Plenty of good ones, some of which I can't remember from which movie they came from. But in the opening chapter of the whole nine yards, as the 'don' is talking on the phone, the two kids are scrapping in the background. The one kid takes a couple of beauties in the stomach. The other one I can recall isThe Last Days of Summer. The pugalists go for it, before the young hero gets to win, he gets pushed into the ropes, and gets his belly massaged by his opponent. "Dream A Little Dream" ( Corey Haim/Feldman) has a couple of good ones courtesy of the bully character Dumas. In one scene two guys are holding Feldman's arms and he punches him in the stomach and face several times, and another where he punches another character in the gut on a football field and hd just crumbles to the ground.
In the movie strips Bill Murray gets one good one in his midsection from his sgt. Also the big guy gets one in his belly from the girl wrestler in the ring.
Nice but too short scene in revenge season 1, end of episode 2, declan is pinned in a bar by 2 an punched by the third. Any other suggestions like this?
probably not worth adding to string of comments more than a year old but my first memory of gutpunching images was Batman reruns on TV - Batman in a pub fight finding himself on the wrong end of a 3 on 1 against the bar. only about 3 or 4 punches thrown at him but it was enjoy to make my then 10 year old bloodstream surge with pleasure. Hooked ever since.

For me, it was HARD TIMES and FURIA EN EL BARRIO. I was watching TV late at night, and came across the underground fight scene which the smaller fighter worked over the husky guy in the midsection.
Also FISTFIGHTER has a good one where Jorge Rivera uses his opponent as a punching bag.
I saw a cheesy teen type movie on Sci Fi channel the other day. However, the characters were mostly college age studs. In one scene, the main character, a athletic looking boy is accosted by the boyfriend of one of the co-eds because he caught the hero looking at her in a party. The boyfriend gut punched the hero about 6-10 times, uppercuts that lifted the main character right off the floor ... it was great.
But my favorite is a newspaper article about a movie containing Antonio Bandaras and Woody Harrelson. On set, they decided to do some bareknuck boxing. Antonio describes in the article how he literally knocked Woody out with a single upper cut to the bread basket. Wish I coulda been there.
Being an avid receiver, with the perfect belly to punch, I have always fantasized about being punched by guys who are lanky/lean up to toned, muscled arms.
Some of the best GP scenes have to come from a Charles Bronson movie called "Hard Times" in which he's a bare knuckle fighter.
I don't remember titles, but one was a bit like a modern western, and the guy was against the wall, being pummeled in the gut (great sound effects too). "You're gonna kill him!," someone yelled. Then he got 5 or six more deep blows before it stopped. BTW, it didn't kill him.
The other was a sci-fi film, where there was a class of soft, idle rich attractive people, and the others were essentially slaves. Of course, there's a revolt, and in once scene, a slender, attractive, snobbish young guy, is gut punched so hard, he doubled over faster than I'd ever seen. I'm thinking it was a real hit, not just for stage.
Speaking of real, it's practically impossible to imitate the sound of someone getting gut punched convincingly. I've often fantasized about being on a movie set, and someone gut punching me, then using the sounds in the movie. Maybe I'd hear, "Nope, that wasn't loud enough, hit him again, harder!"
Sliders: A 90's sci-fi show where a group of people "slider" into the same earth but different reality (Kinda like a giant what if series). There is one where they slide into a Southern world and the main character is tied to a tree and worked over.
"Electric Twister Acid Test," season 3, episode 3. The main character is played by Jerry O'Connell, who is kind of hot. It's worth noting that "tied to a tree" in this case means his arms are high over his head and his wrists are probably tied to some branches. Also, he's shirtless. Alas, there are only two punches.
One of my favorite scenes is from the movie "Run Like A Thief" where the guy says "just hit him in the belly" then 2 guys hold the victim and another guy works over his gut. Just a nice set up of a gut punch scene.
There's an old black-and-white movie called "D.O.A." in which Edmund O'Brien has been poisoned and is looking for his killer before his time runs out. He finds some crooks (I think); one of them is the boss man and another (Neville Brand) is kind of a psycho stooge. The stooge keeps punching the star in the gut and the guy can't really take it because he's dying of poison. The stooge guy keeps saying, "Look at him – soft in the belly," with a crazed smile on his face. He's clearly enjoying it.
Yeah ok there have been HUNDREDS....but which scenes have stuck in your minds?? Which would you secretly rewind and pause...trying to get clearest sharpest image of the fist hitting the gut....or just rewind to watch over and over.....? Or was that just me??! LoL Kickboxer...Jean Claude training abs with coconuts was hot...his fight scenes were hot apart from mental facial expressions!! Snatch....Brad Pitt took a few nice gut shots. Far & Away....Tom Cruise bareknuckle fights had lotsa body blows. Every Which Way movies with Clint Eastwood....were among first that turned me on! Cellular..the fight with Jason Statham and Chris Evans under the pier was good!! Point Break...where Keanu Reeves is being beat up on the beach. I will post more as I think of them...meanwhile....share away!!!

In the '80s, I think it was, there was a series of cowboy TV movies with "Desperado" ("Desperado Goes to College" or whatever). The star is a guy named Alex McArthur (or MacArthur); it's not one of those Antonio Banderas things that came later. In the first one, the sheriff (Yaphet Kotto) ties up Desperado in a jail cell with his arms over his head and punches his gut a few times. Desperado still has his shirt on and you see him only from the back, but it's still hot, maybe because you have to use your imagination.

08/12/2014 06:49Jan-Michael Vincent worked over by 3 or 4 sailors under the boardwalk in "Going Home". Robert Mitchum gets it bad in "His Kind of Woman". Several episodes of BJ and the Bear, including the one where the motorcycle gang works his gut, and season 3, "BJ and the Seven Lady Truckers", hard to find. Several episodes of Magnum PI. Rock Hudson punched by James Dean in "Giant". Many many more.
Also love the Batman - Lord Ffogg pub scene.

Eddie Murphy is held and worked over w/gutpunches in "Beverly Hills Cop". Another good one is High Risk w/James Colburn. It has a hot scene where one guy is cuffed and punched in the stomach while his friend is forced to watch.

08/11/2014 02:07The Take w/Billy Dee Williams has a great, long gut workover scene where Billy Dee is held by 3 guys while a fourth gives his belly a brutal punching. The movie Run Like A Thief has a great scene too where the head guy tells his hired thugs to "work him over lightly". One of the thugs then says "I want a nice clean fight. No kidney punches. No rabbit punches. Just hit him in the belly." With that, the guy is held and punched in the stomach 15-16 times not only till he's unconscious but a couple of the punches appear to be while he is unconscious.

11/7/2014 14:55Plenty of good ones, some of which I can't remember from which movie they came from. But in the opening chapter of the whole nine yards, as the 'don' is talking on the phone, the two kids are scrapping in the background. The one kid takes a couple of beauties in the stomach. The other one I can recall isThe Last Days of Summer. The pugalists go for it, before the young hero gets to win, he gets pushed into the ropes, and gets his belly massaged by his opponent. In one scene two guys are holding Feldman's arms and he punches him in the stomach and face several times, and another where he punches another character in the gut on a football field and hd just crumbles to the ground.

29/1/2013 17:04probably not worth adding to string of comments more than a year old but my first memory of gutpunching images was Batman reruns on TV - Batman in a pub fight finding himself on the wrong end of a 3 on 1 against the bar. only about 3 or 4 punches thrown at him but it was enjoy to make my then 10 year old bloodstream surge with pleasure. Hooked ever since.

12/8/2012 00:50For me, it was HARD TIMES and FURIA EN EL BARRIO. I was watching TV late at night, and came across the underground fight scene which the smaller fighter worked over the husky guy in the midsection.
Also FISTFIGHTER has a good one where Jorge Rivera uses his opponent as a punching bag.

26/7/2012 21:46I saw a cheesy teen type movie on Sci Fi channel the other day. However, the characters were mostly college age studs. In one scene, the main character, a athletic looking boy is accosted by the boyfriend of one of the co-eds because he caught the hero looking at her in a party. The boyfriend gut punched the hero about 6-10 times, uppercuts that lifted the main character right off the floor ... it was great.
But my favorite is a newspaper article about a movie containing Antonio Bandaras and Woody Harrelson. On set, they decided to do some bareknuck boxing. Antonio describes in the article how he literally knocked Woody out with a single upper cut to the bread basket. Wish I coulda been there.

08/7/2012 03:40I don't remember titles, but one was a bit like a modern western, and the guy was against the wall, being pummeled in the gut (great sound effects too). "You're gonna kill him!," someone yelled. Then he got 5 or six more deep blows before it stopped. BTW, it didn't kill him.
The other was a sci-fi film, where there was a class of soft, idle rich attractive people, and the others were essentially slaves. Of course, there's a revolt, and in once scene, a slender, attractive, snobbish young guy, is gut punched so hard, he doubled over faster than I'd ever seen. I'm thinking it was a real hit, not just for stage.
Speaking of real, it's practically impossible to imitate the sound of someone getting gut punched convincingly. I've often fantasized about being on a movie set, and someone gut punching me, then using the sounds in the movie. Maybe I'd hear, "Nope, that wasn't loud enough, hit him again, harder!"

Sliders: A 90's sci-fi show where a group of people "slider" into the same earth but different reality (Kinda like a giant what if series). There is one where they slide into a Southern world and the main character is tied to a tree and worked over.

"Electric Twister Acid Test," season 3, episode 3. The main character is played by Jerry O'Connell, who is kind of hot. It's worth noting that "tied to a tree" in this case means his arms are high over his head and his wrists are probably tied to some branches. Also, he's shirtless. Alas, there are only two punches.

There's an old black-and-white movie called "D.O.A." in which Edmund O'Brien has been poisoned and is looking for his killer before his time runs out. He finds some crooks (I think); one of them is the boss man and another (Neville Brand) is kind of a psycho stooge. The stooge keeps punching the star in the gut and the guy can't really take it because he's dying of poison. The stooge guy keeps saying, "Look at him – soft in the belly," with a crazed smile on his face. He's clearly enjoying it.

Which would you secretly rewind and pause...trying to get clearest sharpest image of the fist hitting the gut....or just rewind to watch over and over.....? Or was that just me??! LoL Kickboxer...Jean Claude training abs with coconuts was hot...his fight scenes were hot apart from mental facial expressions!! Snatch....Brad Pitt took a few nice gut shots. Far & Away....Tom Cruise bareknuckle fights had lotsa body blows. Every Which Way movies with Clint Eastwood....were among first that turned me on! Cellular..the fight with Jason Statham and Chris Evans under the pier was good!! Point Break...where Keanu Reeves is being beat up on the beach. I will post more as I think of them...meanwhile....share away!!!
