He said afterwards he was following his game plan to take out khabib's lead leg, and reckoned he was only a few strikes away from doing that. But khabib's so tough, on his feet and on the ground, i just don't think gaethje planned it right

For sure he was the favourite - but choking gaethje out so early in the fight was a surprise. Gaethje was relying too much on leg kicks instead of punching....and khabib is just so tough
