I use the hip adduction machine at PF. In training I manage to reach the weight max limit (200/95) for 20 reps, then hold it (isometric contraction) for 30 second. I'm tall but don't have beefy legs, but they're relatively strong for their size.
I was asked so I tested mine today, I found it awkward using a scale and decided to try to replicate the thickness of a person to be more accurate (strength varies based on muscle fiber length (range of motion)) and found myself at around 280lbs though I'm not sure how much I trust that number. I know it's at least 280.
What's your method for testing and how much power have you been able to measure?
I did try the scales and sent it off the chart over 130kg, it started to go around again. I guess it was about 145kg. But the scales are hard to test, I used a straight scissor on it

24/4/2020 07:50I'd really be curious to see mine, but my scale isn't really designed to be scissored–it has 4 individual "feet". Impressive numbers though guys.

Mine is like that too so I put a board behind it

21/4/2020 15:48Even though I'm not really into giving scissors as much as receiving them I tried the scale test some time ago and got only 27 kg 😂

I'm just the opposite. I get asked for it a lot, but no one has ever used it successfully on me. I train for it so as not to disappoint.

Hey, Cyclone74, may I sit in for the scale and feel how powerful your scissors squeeze is?
