What would you call the move where you have your man on the mat, on .. let's say his left side and you drop to your knees, driving left knee between his shoulder blades and the other into his lower back. While you take your left hand and grab his jaw or chin and yank his head back towards you. At the same time, you take your right hand and grab his right or left thigh (or ankle) and yank it up and back towards you. Arching him and putting a world of pain on him.
Thank you all, for your explanations. As far as I understand, the move I was searching for, is only the last part, this means without lifting and dropping your opponent over the knee, just holding him in this position for a while.
as a amateur wrestler, I am not very familiar with those pro/submission holds. Does anybody has an advice to to start and apply a pendulum backbraker during a match?
Communication and safety are the main issues, with amateur wrestling and grappling everything is off the cuff and competitive but obviously Pro Wrestling is staged which is why the holds are more convoluted and designed to LOOK impressive and entertaining rather than being easy to apply smoothly
Once you and your opponent know what you're doing I've always found the best way to apply it is from your opponent being face down and you kneeling over their back. Secure their ankles underneath your arms first then grip their wrists completing the lock and slowly get up to your feet
This is where accidents and injuries can happen as it's easy to get thrown off balance and fall or trip when you're getting up whilst trying to carry a 200lb opponent under you! So go slowly. I usually plant one foot first, then lean across to put my weight on it and power up from there. The reason to do it slowly is your opponent is going to go from having little pressure applied to their back to having a lot so have some practice and know each other's limits, what you're confident lifting and how far his back is confident bending.
Once you've practiced a few times and are confident in what you're doing, then's the time to break it out in a match and have some fun :) Hope that helps! It's always how I've approached Pro Wrestling holds :)
Yeah, that's what it is. I've used it on opponents and been punished in it myself a number of times. As you swing your opponents it stretches the arms one way and the legs the other while punishing the back. The victim gets to know what's coming as you swing him and is helpless. If you start slow you can keep him suffering for a long time...or you can just ignore his submission
"Pendulum Backbreaker": I get a backbreaker move that starts with the one getting it, carried horizontally, belly up. Then gets dropped Over the Knee.
"Baby Swing": The one described above + a youtube video that explains "Pendulum Swing".
and I thought myself that it was also called Tear Drop, but google gives me a different move haha. (Although Wrestling Arsenal did have a past issue called Tear Drop with this hold).

Ah. Thanks for the description. At first I didn’t know what a PBB was but it sounds like what others call a ”baby swing”. Correct?

Plus if he’s naked, you can smack his cock off the floor with each pass of the swing. 😜
