to me no holds barred should be chatged to no blows barred, if it's gonna be rough expect rough blows especially to the gut not hard enough to go the hospital buthard enough its gonna double you up
What would be the objective of something rough but limited...? just a little game...
I think that if you make it rough, the blows must be rough, to everything... If you go to the hospital next time you won't do it rough...
Perhaps it responds to the ways in which each one wishes to reach his possible opponents. To show a side of fierce fighter and without contemplation...
In general here we share the idea of the "recreational" practice of fighting. None of us has any intention of sending another to the hospital, much less a legal problem or worse...
What I have practiced as NHB I understand as that limits can be exceeded. In each fighting discipline there are rules and conditions to carry them out. Well, those rules will not be in your NHB fight. Even the punishment will not end with a count of three or surrender ... it will be when I no longer want to beat you or submit you ... Who wants to start ...?
It is vague, because its open to interpretation. I interpret as no rules apply. Since all civilized forms of combat (that sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?) do have rules to protect the combatants.
I disagree. I think nhb is pretty self-explanatory as a term. The problem is people use it incorrectly on this site a lot. I can't count how many profiles I've seen where somebody lists nhb but then goes on to say they want to be a jobber or they don't want real pain. Mind boggling.
I think it's unclear what "no holds barred" means, but I definitely believe it goes beyond kicking and punching. It also includes claws of all kinds and all over the body; definitely means "dirty tactics" such as hair pulling (where ever it is), eye gouging, fishhooks, ear pulling. For some, it's a street fight and may include foreign objects.
Just like any match, you and opponent should discuss the kind of match you both want BEFORE you meet up and then reaffirm it when you do meet up.
I feel like you can't really do a true nhb match. I always say "nhb except" and then list whatever is a no go, plus a general idea of keeping each other safe.
