I generally think people should update their main pic to one taken within the last year (barring a major change like a huge shift in weight, etc), but if they are older and there have been no major changes within 2-3 is probably ok. Once 5 plus years have gone by, it would qualify as misrepresenting themselves, and if it's 10-20+ out of date it's just blatant fraud.
Face shots are a bit tricky since some guys need to be discreet for professional or other reasons. What I always do is send a face pic to a potential opponent if requested rather than post it.
I totally agree! I try to update my pics at least every 3-4 months, so what you see is what you get. There is no excuse for "false advertising" when trying to arrange a match.
My main beef are those guys who are so vain that they have to shave off a few years - in some cases up to 10 - because they think that they are too "old" to be competitive. These narcissistic wrestlers feel the need to be younger than they really are in order to garner sympathy and/or adulation for their inflated egos. Just my two cents.
What do you guys think? I see many profiles over the years that never update their pics, in some cases they could be ten years old or even older. That pic is not that guy today!
I believe my profile pic should fairly show what the potential opponent will see when he meets me for a match. In my opinion it is only fair that I represent myself the way I look today. I myself update my main profile pic every few months. I would think it is reasonable to ask everyone who really wants a match on this site to update at least once a year.
Yeah I definitely agree, it's the respectful thing to do. Also depending on what you're doing, you're body changes. I've gained weight so I don't look the way I look when I first joined in 2021. But yeah 100 percent, otherwise it makes it seem like a cat fishing kind of thing. And then some put up fakes, but it seems the sight is good at catching those.
I also think profile pics should have a face or head shot as well to be able to see what someone looks like. Not just the neck and below. Heck I think all profiles should have a Pic.

Amen, and tired of asking for pics. If you don't have updated info I rarely respond.
