I love attaching and punishing an opponents back. Love to apply long painful crabs, camels and squeezing in a tight bearhug. Then finishing them off in a torture rack. Complete domination.
ribs...love to pound the ribs and knuckle grind em like a punch and grind effect love pounding the nips too
lower back ribs are sweet spot for punishment
Well,, your point is well taken, but I respectfully urge you to face off with a tough opponent, and see what the outcome is if you forget the head shots and put fists into each other in the belly area. When one of you are on your knees, doubled over, trying to get back up, out of wind, groaning from the pain, see what you think.
I like full contact face/head strikes. Nothing is more false advertising than a guy who says he is into Boxing but only does "body boxing"/gut punching.
Curios why you feel a challenge to box someone, working the body / belly / pec areas would be false advertising? More of a safe and sane way of beating up someone, making them the loser of the fight, bettered by the tougher and more aggressive of the two participants. I for one have lost several such fights, and have been sore as hell for up to two weeks, a painful but safe reminder of the fight, and what my rival did to me.
Gut punching is not the sport of Boxing. It seems to be some form of S&M beat down, but no professional or amateur boxing competition is a body punching only. If you go to a gym or class, they never teach you "gut-only" offense and defense, even at a children's level. A watered-down facsimile of something is not the same thing. Real, true "boxing" always includes head strikes.... hence the qualifier.
Shadow boxing or hitting a heavy bag may be boxing related training, but they do not fit the definition of having a fight. Neither is anything that is one-sided, involves taking turns, or has a pre-determined outcome. Doing something that has 10, 20 or 50% overlap with a defined activity, isn't the same as doing the activity. Also, whipping someone in an S&M dungeon might leave them sore, it doesn't make it a sport.
I think adults should be able to do whatever they want as long as it's voluntary for all involved and they aren't hurting anyone who doesn't want it. That being said, someone could call themselves "a boxer", but if their main feelings around the activity is a fear of getting hurt and/or a fear of people seeing marks on their face, then they're not a boxer. They may take a cardio boxing class, they may be a fetishist interested in sadomasochism, they may be a fan or admirer (all fine) but they are not a "boxer" any more than someone with a fear of flying who has never been in the air is "a pilot" because because they took some classes or played a flight simulator game.
Often people say "I can't because of work" or "I can't because I need to keep it on the down-low". OK, I understand that, valid reasons...but if you say I can't do something because of reason X, then you're admitting you aren't doing it. Mind you I am not talking about having limited availably or needing to schedule things around life...that applies to most real guys. I mean people who never, ever do something, but claim they do. That's the false advertising part. If someone asks if I want to box, they may have my interest, but they say it's got to "body shots only", ... then their opening premise wasn't a true proposition. They asked me to do something they are unwilling to do to get my attention, but it was a bait and switch. That's the part I don't appreciate.
Play fighting, simulated fighting, and practice aren't the same things as actual competition or an actual fight. Real combat sports always have some risk of injury involved, even if there are a ton of rules and everyone involved is "sane"... but they can never be 100% "safe". I've had blood, bruises and breaks result from controlled sparring, so any actual FIGHT will always include some risk of injury, even if it's a complete accident.
You asked my opinion. Do whatever you like, but my opinion won't change. Best of luck in your activity.
No, gut punching is not boxing, rather, boxing is the sport of throwing punches. GP is predominantly an exhibition, but its not that far off from boxing. You can certainly punch someone to the gut in boxing, but you're just not limited to that one body part.
GP can also be a fetish, but under that rule, so can anything else depending on your perspective.
For me, it's always been the pecs. I think a well developed, and hairy chest is such a turn on and pounding away at it gives me tremendous pleasure. Slaps, punches, claws all work for me and if I manage to knock my opponent out, I'd tie him up with rope encircling his chest and then continue to punish his pecs.
Has to be the balls. The less expected the better, so you get the grunt of surprise followed by the dull ache setting in. Then just as the opponent thinks the pain is dying down, they're ready to be hit again.
When locking up I tend to see if I can control the head. If, so the rest of the opponent’s body may follow. This can also be the case when the struggle goes to ground. Keep that head lifted - if you can - to prevent him getting too comfortable and launching a counterattack.
Okay, so obviously this will vary given the different styles on here and such. I wanted to know what is you guys favorite body part to target in a match? I mean like that gives you a sense of control and dominance over your opponent, if that makes sense.
