Abs and calves are involuntary muscle. They are always engaged. So you can not overwork them. Most of you who have let me help you get in gladiator shape know that I am a believier in working to total muscle fatigue and failure. Before you can reach a goal your mind has to be right. Most guys are lazy and dint want to put in this kind if intensity. Try this. Its a basic workout. V ups to failute. Works entire midsection. Rest 2 min. Then Alphabet leg raises. Two sets Legs together draw the letters if the alphabet. This works entire midsection hip flexors and obliques. Rest 2 min. Then 30 hip lifts or bridges. Works lower back, glutes. Hip flexors. Rest 2 min, crunches to failure. Rest 2 min. Russian twists. Weighted. To failure. Works obliques and intercostals. Rest 2 min push ups to failure. You are done. This is a beginner workout. Look up sixpackin30days on the App Store. Drawn guy flexing abs with him pointing at it is the icon. Pretty difficult and left me sore for days after doing it for the first time
