The best catfight is one with no formal rules. If you've got two guys or girls who are ready to dig into each other, it's kind of like a game to see how much you can do to your opponent even though you know they're going to give it back to you. I don't see a difference between male catfight and pro wrestling...hairpulling, slapping, etc.

Pro wrestling is big on theatrics and has a certain aesthetic. Nothing wrong with that if that’s your thing. The referee is optional.

Catfighting is totally different…it’s more of a psychological game, lots of focus involved and not necessarily that cool looking, but everything is between you and your opponent.

A “catball” might last 30 minutes or hours with both opponents locked into essentially the same position on top of each other or stuck in a tiny space like a corner between a bed and wall or a small closet. During a REAL female catfight, a lot of the listed "rules" are defiantly in play. I think a catfight not only ends with a physical defeat of a rival, but the end goal is the painful humiliation of the loser, usually with a crowd watching. The "Rules list" below is very interesting. I agree on most of the rules, except the spitting, biting, and no deodorant, but that’s just a personal preference for hygiene. I also agree that it’s still really difficult to find male catfighting videos. I’ve found a few on Watchfighters, but there’s not much to choose from and some of them still have some production quality issues. I think there’s a stigma that catfighting is a “woman thing.” It might not seem fair, but alot of the wrestling video companies have to cater to a larger market of men, so emphasizing masculine traits is unfortunately usually a better seller. That puts catfighting at the bottom of the list.

The ultimate goal of a catfight should be for one fighter to destroy her or his opponent physically, sexually, mentally and psychologically in that order. Ground them, pound them, make them beg and leave them crying. It should be intense. They should want a rematch to prove their honor. When a rematch is had, one more match will determine the ultimate winner (best match out of three). After that, a very entertaining rivalry can develop with each one wanting to destroy the other over the years. We should all be so lucky to have such a rivalry going.

Camera work and performance are key to making a good video in this genre. If the video is well done, gender doesn't matter that much. Thing is, women just tend to sell it better. Moves and attacks have to result in screaming, crying and facial expressions of pain. The camera has to focus on faces as much as the attacks. The humiliation really ties it all together...the loser has to get on their knees and beg for mercy while the victor gives none and makes them pay fully. Not saying you have to fake it...more just the idea of letting loose, letting it all out and not being afraid to look kind of silly. And of course you need a cameraman or two to film all the action, zooming in when things get intense.

A few shots of whiskey probably go a long way towards making this work - less inhibitions, more willing to absorb some extra pain. I like the rules - spitting and biting are par for the course. The intro should also involve a lot of trash talking and insults, which should also run the length of the fight.

I really like the idea of an audience...I think people cheering for their fighter and not interfering really adds something. I'd like to see the humiliated and destroyed loser put onto a stretcher and carried away at the end.

Also, the winner should take a trophy, like the loser's thong or a bunch of hair they pulled out of the loser. The loser is challenged to win it back in a rematch.

Sadly, this is true. Women do a better job of “selling it” in catfights. They are more savage and aggressive and really get into the erotic part of it more. It’s difficult to find fight videos of men that show a real “male catfight rules” type of fight involving men wearing very skimpy, skin-tight poser or thong bikinis.
