I love to body punch while wrestling and since most of it is ground wrestling my opponents and I are essentially lying down. It's great to get the other man in a hold where his gut is wide open to punches (and I don't mind being the punchee👊).
Absolutely. I have punched a belly and been punched in my belly while lying down. Nowhere to go but receive the full force of the punch. Actually, stomps and knee drops to the belly have also been given and received while lying down.

Absolutely. If a guy is lying down,.especially on a firm surface, they have to take the full brunt of a punch. Can't bend or move backwards if there's nowhere to go.
